Meet the pack

Kai

The most anxious dog in the world

Kai arrived frightened of everything — too scared to eat, curled as small as he could be. He didn't become brave all at once. He became brave the way everyone does: one small step, and then the next.

The Real Kai

Kai's three small things

The very things you'll find in his journal — because they're the things that saved him.

1

One brave thing

Kai never felt ready. He went anyway — and learned that going anyway is exactly what brave means.

2

One joyful thing

Even on the hardest days, Kai found one small good thing — a friend, a swim, his squeaky pineapple. Joy counts.

3

Tell the scary bit

Every night, Kai told Kip the scared parts, all the way to the end. Saying them out loud made every one feel lighter.

"No brave dog goes alone." Kai's whole story is about being walked beside — and that's what he wants for you too.
